You are still able to book same day and advance appointments with any of our healthcare professionals by telephoning your practice directly or coming to reception. Same day appointments are available from 8am.

You can now book same day appointments online to see an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) for certain conditions.

These appointments are for minor ailments only, such as:
•Sore throat
•Ear ache
•Cold, cough or flu
•Chest infections
•Thrush
•Athletes foot
•Conjunctivitis
•Infections
•Minor Injuries
•Diarrhoea and vomiting
•Headaches
•Joint Pains
•Musculoskeletal problems (Shoulder, Elbow, Knee, Ankle pain and any bone/muscle related pains)

Accessing Enhanced Access - Out-of-Hours appointments

GP practices across Benfleet Primary Care Network are working together to provide the right services at a time which is convenient for you. We’ve listened to feedback from people in our local area, and we are making changes to our out-of-hours appointments to deliver better services for you.

The new way of delivering out-of-hours appointments will give you:

· Access to more healthcare professionals. This new service will be delivered by professionals including GPs, Nurses (Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP's), Healthcare Assistants (HCA's), Practice Nurses), First Contact Physiotherapists (FCP's) and Pharmacists.

· More choice about the type of appointment you want. These include a mixture of in-person face-to-face appointments and remote telephone appointments.

· Make it more convenient for you to travel to out-of-hours appointments. These appointments are being planned and delivered locally at both Rushbottom Lane Surgery and The Hollies Surgery.

Out of hours appointments will be available from 6:30pm to 8pm weekdays, and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.

All appointments need to be booked in advance; there are no walk-in appointments available out of hours.

To book an out of hours appointment, contact your GP practice in the usual way. They will advise you on appointment availability, and which healthcare professional is the right person to help you.

Your appointment might not be at your regular GP practice. When you book, you will be told where the appointment is, at either Rushbottom Lane Surgery (Benfleet) or The Hollies Surgery (Hadleigh).

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

If you would like to register for this, please contact reception to add/update your mobile phone number and enable this on your record, either by phone, in person, in writing or by email at reception.rushbottomlane@nhs.net. 

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

A car park is provided for limited access to patients who hold a disabled blue badge or have mobility problems. 

Do not park in the hatched area or on the double yellow lines. (This needs to be clear for Emergency vehicles). Please park on Rushbottom Lane and only in the laybys outside of 08:30 - 09:30 and 14:45 - 15:45.
